We are a group of volunteer enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation and study of all things Morwell and the surrounding districts.

We are an indoor historical society with in-house research facilities. The collection consists of items of local interest including an extensive photo collection, maps, family history records and much more, including articles and some small objects relevent to Morwell and its people, all of which can be searched for on our catalogue.

Included in our collection are photo albums from schools now closed or merged, eg Morwell Technical School and Morwell High School

We are constantly looking for new material to add to our collection and we are  especially interested in the settlements of White City of which we have very little information and the Yallourn Migrant Hostel, of which we have even less. This hostel is believed to be situated between the Latrobe Valley Community Hospital and Morwell Bridge.
